As more and more everyday communication takes place over e-mail, lots of people have complained about how hard it is to read and respond to every message. This is because they actually read and respond to all their messages.

That Google gag was entertaining. The April Fools Day link in Google Books, "Generate a book report", popped up a little box that said, "Sorry, you'll have to write your book report the old-fashioned way. April Fools Day!" (Or something along that line.)
